Are you tired of watching movies that fail to grasp your full attention? Well look no further. Juno, a 2007 coming of age movie, is the perfect movie for any occasion.  It will keep you wanting more content due to the lovable characters, unique plot, and shocking twists

Synopsis: When precocious teen Juno MacGuff becomes pregnant, she chooses a failed rock star and his wife to adopt her unborn child. Complications occur when Mark, the prospective father, starts to have doubts about becoming a father, putting both his marriage and the adoption in jeopardy.

 Rated: PG-13

My thoughts: When I first heard about the film Juno, I didn’t think I would like it as much as I did. But once I started watching it, I realized just how heartwarming and entertaining it was. From start to finish, you will be so entrapped in the life of Juno MacGuff, a teenager who recently got pregnant, that you won’t be able to stop watching.

While many of us may not understand what Juno is going through, the way the movie is  formatted and her unique narration will make you feel like you relate to her in some way. Throughout the movie, you will watch scenes that will make you laugh, but also make you feel emotional as she is trying to persevere through the hardships of her unexpected teenage pregnancy.

When it comes to the aesthetic of the movie Juno, you can clearly see how details such as her clothes and home really represent Juno’s personality. From the start of the film, Juno is portrayed as the weird girl throughout her community. This is due to her mismatched clothing, messy hair, sarcastic comments, and strange music taste. These assumptions about Juno don’t get better considering she gets pregnant. But these small details that seem useless actually enhance her character and make us realize who Juno really is as a person. In the end, it  makes the audience have more of an emotional connection to her in some way.

The characters in Juno are unlike any I have experienced before. The film contains a plethora of characters that all have a different role in Juno’s life. A character (besides Juno) that really stuck out to me was Paulie Bleeker (portrayed by Micheal Cera). Paulie’s character in Juno is known as the shy, smart, and athletic character who is head over heels for Juno. The way he treats Juno throughout the movie is so wholesome, especially considering that the community has been treating her as an outcast due to her pregnancy. In the end, Paulie’s personality really makes you root for this character, and it also makes the audience so happy that Juno is finally getting the respect and love she deserves.

Overall, the movie Juno has many special and distinct qualities that make this a perfect watch for young adults, despite the controversy it has faced. While many thought Juno glorified teen pregnacy, that is not the case. In reality, it teaches us a good lesson about how to love and respect others during a tough time. You will not regret watching this movie.
