The Robotics Club members are building a robot that carries up rings that will go along with another robot that will launch those rings. A step toward making something more extraordinary, they will eventually compete against other schools. Then possibly make it to a national competition.
Building a robot can be a lot of work but it is all worth it when you get to pin them against each other and see which one comes out on top. Or if the robot performs the act that it was designed for perfectly. “It’s really just how much you decide you want to put in,” says Kenli, a member of the club, and after putting it together, you can test it out on the arena in the back of the class. With these robots, the robotics club has competitions.
These competitions go from the class to the schools, to the states, then finally to the national level. “I’ve done this for a while and I’ve made a lot of friends in this club too” Grace a long-time member of the club said. The Robotics club members work as a team to ensure their robots are the greatest they can be to perform well in competitions.
If you are interested in seeing the Robotics Club in person, then check it out in room 1119, Mr. Harvey’s room. They meet every Tuesday and Thursday after school hours.
