Norah Washington is a point guard who recently experienced the dangers of basketball. She went in for a rebound and got shoved, she then tried to catch herself, but failed which caused her arm to snap. This left her arm looking like a Z.

The ambulance was called, and Norah was carried away in a stretcher and even though she was in pain, she had a smile on her face. Norah says when she first saw her arm she “didn’t believe it was happening.”

Her biggest daily struggle is writing because she broke her dominate hand. Washington is thankful this is not permanent and that she will recover. Her advice for anyone going through something similar is to stay positive and surround yourself with people who make you happy.
