Last weekend was Highland High Schools very first harvest dance in Downtown Gilbert! The cheer team was using the dance to raise money. It was a Sadie Hawkins, a.ka. girls ask guys, and it’s very unique in many ways. For example, you don’t ask like you traditionally ask to other dances; you use a white rose. At other dances, you can wear any dress you want but for this one, a black dress for the girls and a black tie for the boys is expected. For the corsage and boutonniere, it’s a simple white rose. Tickets were sold for $20 during lunch. Our school hopes to have many more Harvest dances in the future.
